The Lydenburg (50K) Challenge takes place on an annual basis. It covers a circular area around Lydenburg. The circle's mid-point is the intersection of the R36 and R37, with a 100 km radius. The objective of the challenge is to see how many bird species can be recorded in this area in one calendar year.
